Tesla is seeking a Staff IoT Network Engineer to join their Materials Manufacturing Network Engineering team in Austin. Responsibilities For Staff IoT Network Engineer, Materials Manufacturing Network Engineering

  • Lead the IoT Network Engineering team on designs, production deployments, and initiatives
  • Maintain current network solutions within manufacturing sites
  • Serve as a Tier 2-3 escalation point for complex network issues
  • Gather requirements, analyze, and propose solutions for networking needs
  • Provision, implement, validate, and maintain networking services remotely
  • Monitor, analyze, and report metrics of network services
  • Support and drive Project Bobcat (Cathode) and Project Lynx
  • Assist in improving cybersecurity posture
  • Become proficient in Emerson DeltaV and DCS control systems
  • Document network knowledge base and maintain operational Run-Book

Requirements For Staff IoT Network Engineer, Materials Manufacturing Network Engineering

  • 5+ years experience in production industrial or manufacturing networking infrastructure
  • Extensive experience in IP networking, L2/L3 network protocols
  • Experience with multi-vendor industrial switching technologies
  • Working experience with industrial protocols
  • Experience with distributed control system (DCS) networks
  • Experience with Cisco, Juniper, Fortinet, and Palo Alto Networks firewall services
  • Experience with various network tools and protocols
  • Experience with developing scripts to automate infrastructure deployment
  • CCNP, CCNA Industrial certifications preferred
