The Reliability and Test team at Tesla is a cross-functional organization responsible for ensuring that every vehicle product meets strict requirements for functionality, durability, strength, and abuse. This role involves managing test programs, connecting stakeholders, managing priorities and expectations, and providing feedback on test results to create reliable vehicle products.
As a Technical Program Manager for Hardware Reliability & Test, you will:
- Own the scope, schedule, implementation, and tracking of test projects from start to finish
- Set goals, track deliverables, manage expectations, identify risks, and drive mitigations across all project stages
- Work with various engineering teams and leadership to gather new requirements, scope, and timelines
- Drive conversations and issues to closure, define next steps, and ensure follow-ups are owned
- Influence without reporting structure and operate without guidance
- Resolve conflicts productively across teams
- Maximize productivity in a constantly changing environment with shifting priorities
Requirements:
- 2-3 years of experience in an engineering environment with responsibility for implementing or managing change
- Demonstrated experience in technical program management with many cross-functional teams
- Deep technical knowledge of engineering fundamentals in mechanical, electrical, and software engineering
- Problem-solving skills with a positive outlook for approaching complex challenges
- Exceptional organization and communication skills
