Responsibilities For Tool & Die Engineer, Cybertruck, Press

  • Review die processes for parts to meet cost, quality targets & production goals
  • Adhere to simulation guidelines & die design standards
  • Make detailed studies & provide recommendations for process and feasibility issues
  • Assess automation blank loading and transfer arms
  • Direct tool changes to tune dies per dimensional quality
  • Ensure dies meet production process intent
  • Perform vendor die design reviews
  • Oversee package of work through home line activities
  • Develop inventory for spare details, punches & buttons
  • Ensure production readiness of dies, scrap shed, SPM

Requirements For Tool & Die Engineer, Cybertruck, Press

  • Good understanding of press/stamping processes & die design
  • Knowledge of material properties for aluminum & steel
  • 2+ Years of simulation / die design experience in class 'A' parts
  • Experience with aluminum & steel, die build/tryout
  • Ability to work with and lead others in a collaborative team environment
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Powerpoint, Word, Project
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
