Boeing Global Services (BGS) is seeking a Data Engineer to join their Engineering team in Seattle, Washington. This role is part of the Safety Data Analytics (SDA) program within Boeing Global Services Training, Digital & Analytics division, focusing on building and maintaining data infrastructure that processes large amounts of commercial airplane flight data.

The position involves working with a growing team of Data Engineers to develop and maintain data infrastructure that processes extensive commercial airplane flight data. The role requires creating curated datasets accessible through Azure Databricks Delta Lake and Google Cloud BigQuery. You'll collaborate directly with Architects, Data Scientists, Software Developers, and Business Intelligence Analysts to define and implement technical requirements for scalable data pipeline features.

The ideal candidate will be a self-starter with strong experience in managing and analyzing data at scale using Azure Databricks and/or Google Cloud Platform (GCP). Proficiency in Python/Spark, Containers, and DevOps is essential for delivering scalable Cloud Data Engineering solutions. Experience with aerospace flight data (QAR/CPL, CVR/FDR, and/or ADS-B) is highly desired.

The role offers competitive compensation ranging from $113,900 to $184,000 depending on experience level (Mid-Level or Senior). Boeing provides a comprehensive benefits package including health insurance, retirement plans, and various insurance options. The position is fully on-site in Seattle, allowing for direct collaboration with cross-functional teams.

This is an excellent opportunity for a data engineering professional to contribute to aviation safety while working with cutting-edge cloud technologies and large-scale data systems. The role combines technical expertise with the meaningful impact of making flying safer through data-driven insights.
