Description For Quantum Applications Software Engineer (Experienced/Senior)

Boeing's Disruptive Computing & Networks (DC&N) team is seeking Quantum Applications Software Engineers to join their innovative Quantum Technologies team. This role focuses on developing simulation and software technologies for hardware-in-the-loop (HITL) and emulated test systems. As part of Boeing's software capability, you'll work on next-generation software for aerospace, satellite, and autonomous platforms.

The position offers an opportunity to work with world-class scientists and engineers, solving Boeing's most challenging problems across Commercial Airplanes, Defense Space & Security, and Global Services businesses. Responsibilities For Quantum Applications Software Engineer (Experienced/Senior)

  • Perform definition of software requirements, architectures, algorithms, interfaces, and designs for hardware-in-the-loop simulation systems
  • Design, develop, integrate, and test software models to simulate hardware components
  • Perform development and integration of complex software components
  • Develop test procedures and environments, execute tests and document results
  • Contribute to program engagements and demonstrations with partners
  • Contribute to the identification and implementation of new tools and processes

Requirements For Quantum Applications Software Engineer (Experienced/Senior)

  • Ability to obtain U.S. Top Secret/SCI Security Clearance (U.S. Citizenship Required)
  • 3+ years of experience with C/C++ coding or java/python script development
  • 3+ years of experience working with FPGA embedded systems
  • Experience with quantum sensors, computers, or networking components
  • Experience or research studies related to quantum sensor, computing or networking hardware
