Description For Software Engineer–Artificial Intelligence

The Boeing Company is seeking an Associate Software Engineer-Artificial Intelligence to join their KC-46 Aerial Refueling Software team in Tukwila, WA. This role is part of the Autonomous Air to Air Refueling (A3R) team, focusing on boom automation. The position offers an opportunity to work in a casual but professional environment with multi-disciplined engineering teams.

The role involves designing and implementing AI algorithms and models for complex systems, working with large datasets, and deploying solutions in production environments. You'll be working on cutting-edge technology in aerospace, specifically focusing on autonomous aerial refueling systems.

The ideal candidate should have experience in Python, C++, and Machine Learning, with knowledge of AI frameworks like PyTorch and OpenCV. The position requires a Secret U.S. Security Clearance (must be a U.S. citizen) and is 100% onsite.

Responsibilities For Software Engineer–Artificial Intelligence

  • Design and develop AI algorithms and models using standard methods and tools
  • Collect, clean, preprocess, and analyze large datasets
  • Support testing, documentation, and debugging of AI models and software systems
  • Train, evaluate, and optimize AI models
  • Support integration and deployment of AI models into production environments
  • Monitor, validate, and improve in-production AI models
  • Work with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements
  • Support research and implementation of current and emerging technologies

Requirements For Software Engineer–Artificial Intelligence

  • 2+ years of experience in Python, C++
  • 2+ years of experience in Linux, Windows
  • 2+ years of experience in Machine Learning
  • Must be eligible for Secret U.S. Security Clearance
