Software Engineer- Secure Network & Protocols (Mid-Level, Senior)

The Boeing Company is seeking a Software Engineer specializing in Secure Network & Protocols to join their Space Launch System (SLS) - Exploration Upper Stage team in Titusville, Florida. This role is part of Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) Software Engineering organization, focusing on the NASA Artemis program.

The position involves working with the Stage Controller Network and Operating Systems Dev team, supporting computer labs across multiple sites for engineering software development, integration, and testing. The stage controller is crucial for controlling the rocket during live-fire ground tests of the SLS rocket motors.

Key responsibilities include configuring and security hardening networking equipment, appliances, and operating systems on multiple physical and virtual networked servers and workstations. The role requires close collaboration with the Cyber Security team to mitigate risks identified during system scans and supporting the Software Test team in formal qualification testing.

The ideal candidate should have strong experience in Windows and Linux Operating Systems administration, proficiency in Python or other scripting languages, and familiarity with tools like Jira, GitLab, and Ansible.
