Description For Systems Designer & Developer (Senior or Lead)

The Boeing Company is seeking a Systems Designer & Developer to join their enterprise Design/Build Systems & Tools team within Boeing Test & Evaluation (BT&E). This senior/lead role offers an opportunity to work with a geographically dispersed, multidisciplinary infrastructure team developing and supporting critical engineering products.

The position involves working with internal and external data across multiple integrated data warehouses. You'll collaborate with Data Solutions Architects, Data Scientists, Systems Engineers, and other professionals to support a software and analytics suite that innovatively integrates Boeing's AI/ML tools into engineering and business systems.

As a key team member, you'll contribute to architecture vision planning and road-mapping for Design/Build data science solutions. The role requires expertise in full-stack development, with strong skills in C#, JavaScript, and modern web frameworks. You'll work on complex systems integration, API development, and database management while ensuring high standards of security and performance.

The position offers competitive compensation ($144,500 - $209,300 for Lead level) and comprehensive benefits including health insurance, retirement plans, and various insurance options. Responsibilities For Systems Designer & Developer (Senior or Lead)

  • Provide consultation and leadership for complex computing system requirements
  • Design, build and test delivery systems and components
  • Evaluate product usability, affordability, functionality, security and performance
  • Support Systems Vision Plan and Roadmap development
  • Coordinate with business partners on engineering and operations requirements
  • Develop strategies for integrating legacy systems
  • Define work scope, estimated cost, and scheduling through risk analysis
  • Develop and implement new processes across organization
  • Build relationships with internal/external customers
  • Gather and document requirements from end users

Requirements For Systems Designer & Developer (Senior or Lead)

  • Bachelor's Degree in engineering, engineering technology, chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science
  • 10+ years related work experience for Lead level
  • Full stack development experience
  • Expert in C# (.NET) and JavaScript (Node.js)
  • Experience with ReactJS, Angular, or Vue.JS
  • Expert with Design Patterns (MVC and MVVM)
  • Experience with OAuth and SSO
  • Familiar with API documentation
  • Experience with Unit Testing and Dependency Injection
  • Expert with SQL

  • Must be a U.S. Person as defined by export control requirements
