Description For Systems Designer & Developer (Senior or Lead)

The Boeing Company is seeking a Systems Designer & Developer to join their enterprise Design/Build Systems & Tools team within Boeing Test & Evaluation (BT&E). This senior/lead role involves working with a geographically dispersed team responsible for developing and supporting engineering products used across the organization. The position requires expertise in full-stack development, focusing on integrating Boeing's AI/ML tools into engineering and business systems.

The role combines technical leadership with hands-on development, requiring expertise in modern web technologies, database systems, and enterprise architecture. You'll work on complex computing systems, collaborating with Data Solutions Architects, Data Scientists, and other technical specialists to create innovative solutions for both lab test and flight test teams.

Key responsibilities include architecting overall vision planning, implementing systems and tools, and supporting enterprise functional excellence strategies. The position offers competitive compensation ($144,500 - $209,300 for Lead level) and comprehensive benefits including health insurance, retirement plans, and potential relocation assistance.

Responsibilities For Systems Designer & Developer (Senior or Lead)

  • Provides consultation and leadership to identify, evaluate and document complex computing system requirements
  • Applies expertise related to the architecture, design, build and test delivery systems and components
  • Provides technical leadership to evaluate product usability, affordability, functionality, security and performance
  • Supports the Systems Vision Plan and Roadmap for Design/Build organization
  • Coordinates with business partners to understand their engineering and operations requirements
  • Develops strategies for integrating legacy systems into next generation systems
  • Works with customers / end users to gather and document requirements

Requirements For Systems Designer & Developer (Senior or Lead)

  • Bachelor's Degree in engineering, engineering technology, chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science
  • 10+ years related work experience
  • Full stack development experience
  • Expert in C# (.NET) and JavaScript (Node.js)
  • Experience with ReactJS, Angular, or Vue.JS
  • Expert with Design Patterns (MVC and MVVM)
  • Experience with OAuth and SSO
  • Expert with SQL
  • Working experience with Agile methodology
  • Must be a U.S. Person as defined by export control requirements
