The University of Texas at Austin is seeking a Data ETL Engineer to join their Enterprise Technology - Data to Insights (D2I) team. This role is crucial in improving university outcomes by increasing the usability and value of institutional data through the development of extract, transform, and load (ETL) procedures.

The position offers a flexible work arrangement with the option to work 100% remotely within the United States. As a Data ETL Engineer, you'll be responsible for developing ETL programs using tools like Informatica for complex data models that support critical business decisions and data analysis processes for the campus community.

The role offers an excellent work-life balance with a 40-hour work week and limited travel requirements. You'll be working with modern data platforms such as AWS Aurora Postgres and Snowflake, designing and implementing ETL solutions that handle complex data transformations and integrations.

Requirements For Data ETL Engineer

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Systems, Engineering, or equivalent professional experience
  • 2 years of experience designing and implementing ETL technical solutions
  • 2 years of experience with Informatica, Python, SQL, and PL/SQL
  • 2 years of experience with Oracle and AWS PostgreSQL database environments
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills
  • Experience with orchestration and automation of database processes
  • Strong aptitude for troubleshooting and problem solving
  • Self-motivated and able to organize work independently
