Research Engineer Intern

Thomson Reuters Labs is offering an exciting 16-month Research Engineer Co-op position focused on machine learning engineering and research. This role is perfect for students passionate about AI and ML who want to make an impact in a data-rich environment. As part of a diverse global team, you'll work on state-of-the-art ML/NLP/GenAI projects, contributing to both research publications and proprietary AI model development.

The position offers unique exposure to Thomson Reuters' vast data resources (over 60,000 TBs of legal, regulatory, news, and tax data) and access to major cloud computing platforms. You'll be mentored by world-leading experts while working on real-world challenges that serve Thomson Reuters' core segments in Legal, Tax & Accounting, Government, and Reuters News.

The role combines innovative research with practical engineering, allowing you to participate in the entire model development lifecycle - from brainstorming to delivery.
