Software Engineer II, Care Experience

We're currently seeking a Software Engineer II to join our Care Experience team, where you'll play a crucial role in transforming how Toast supports its customers.

The Care Experience team's mission is to revolutionize customer support through intelligent tools that empower both service agents and customers. We're building a unified, AI-powered support platform that accelerates agent performance, reduces repetitive work, and ensures personalized, efficient interactions. This role offers an exciting opportunity to directly impact how restaurants receive support and how our agents deliver assistance.

As a Software Engineer II, you'll be responsible for designing and building features in Toast's enterprise management products, with a focus on quality and reliability. You'll work with Object-Oriented languages like Java or Kotlin, and have the opportunity to work with modern web technologies including React. Your role will involve close collaboration with UX designers, Product Managers, and other engineering teams across Toast.

The ideal candidate brings experience in building backend services and APIs, with a strong foundation in delivering high-quality production services. You should be comfortable working in a team environment with a shared codebase and have a passion for creating positive impact for customers. Experience with React and Android development is a plus, but not required.

Toast offers a competitive compensation package including a base salary range of $115,000-$184,000 USD, comprehensive benefits including medical, dental, and vision insurance, 401k options, and equity opportunities.
