Description For Procurement and Compliance Engineer

Toradex, a global leader in embedded computing, is seeking a Procurement and Compliance Engineer to join our Procurement team. In this role, you'll ensure our electronic components and products comply with international regulations like REACH, RoHS, Prop65, and Conflict Minerals. You'll support our Product & Technology teams in selecting new or alternative components, work closely with suppliers, and maintain compliance and lifecycle data.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Managing regulatory compliance with global environmental and safety standards
  • Supporting component selection for new products and maintenance
  • Collaborating with suppliers on compliance data and component selection
  • Maintaining documentation and reporting on compliance
  • Cross-functional collaboration with Procurement, Product & Technology, and Legal teams
  • Developing and executing internal compliance programs

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electronic Engineering or related field
  • Minimum 2 years experience in compliance management and electronic product selection
  • Strong analytical and communication skills
  • Proficiency in regulatory requirements and compliance data management tools
  • English proficiency (B2 or higher)
  • Problem-solving mindset and ability to handle multiple priorities

This hybrid position is based in Campinas, SP, Brazil, with 80% office presence expected. Responsibilities For Procurement and Compliance Engineer

  • Manage and ensure compliance with global environmental and safety standards
  • Support product development projects to meet compliance requirements
  • Support Product & Technology teams with selecting components for new products or maintenance
  • Find components according to requirements and create proposals and comparison tables
  • Collaborate with suppliers to gather compliance-related data and conduct due diligence
  • Work with suppliers on component selection and lifecycle data
  • Maintain detailed records of compliance and lifecycle data
  • Create reports for internal stakeholders and answer customer compliance questions
  • Work with Procurement, Product & Technology, and Legal teams on compliance strategies
  • Develop and execute internal compliance programs
  • Participate in continuous improvement projects to streamline compliance processes

Requirements For Procurement and Compliance Engineer

  • Bachelor's degree ideally in Electronic Engineering or related fields
  • Minimum 2 years in compliance management and selection of electronic products
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Ability to interpret complex regulations and technical requirements
  • Excellent communication abilities
  • Proficiency in regulatory requirements for electronics
  • Experience with compliance data management tools
  • Knowledge about electronic components and electronic design
  • English B2 or higher
  • Problem-solving mindset
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Familiarity with product safety regulations, labeling standards, and international trade compliance
  • Experience leading compliance audits and developing compliance policies for a global company
