Description For Network Engineer (6-Month Contract)

We are looking for a highly skilled and motivated Network Engineer to join our dynamic team for a 6-month contract. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining our organization's network infrastructure. This role requires a deep understanding of network architecture, proactive problem-solving skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities: • Network Design and Implementation: Develop and deploy network solutions that meet the needs of the organization, ensuring scalability, security, and reliability. • Network Maintenance: Monitor, maintain, and troubleshoot network systems to ensure optimal performance and uptime. • Security Management: Implement and manage network security measures, including firewalls, VPNs, and intrusion detection systems. • Performance Optimization: Analyze network performance data to identify areas for improvement and implement enhancements. • Documentation: Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for network configurations, processes, and procedures. • Collaboration: Work closely with IT team members and other departments to ensure seamless integration and support of network systems. • Vendor Management: Liaise with external vendors and service providers to ensure the best solutions and support for network-related needs.

Required Qualifications: • Education: Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field. • Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in network engineering or a similar role. • Certifications: Relevant certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, or equivalent are highly desirable. • Technical Skills: Proficiency in networking technologies and protocols (e.g., TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP), and experience with network hardware (e.g., routers, switches, firewalls). • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills. • Teamwork: Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.

Preferred Qualifications: • Advanced Certifications: CCIE or equivalent advanced network certifications. • Experience with Cloud Networking: Familiarity with cloud service providers (e.g. AWS, Azure) and their networking services. • Experience with Cisco Meraki platform is preferred. • Project Management: Experience in managing network-related projects.
