Backend Engineer - Spain

The role involves developing high-performance, scalable solutions within a microservice architecture comprising 200+ services. You'll be working with modern technologies including Java 17 with Spring, Go, and various databases like Cassandra, MariaDB, and Redis. The position requires a holistic approach to problem-solving, where you'll be involved in the complete software development lifecycle from requirements gathering to deployment and monitoring.

As a Backend Engineer, you'll be responsible for developing solutions that maintain high performance, scale, and resilience in an uncompromising environment where downtime and latency are intolerable. You'll work in compact, autonomous teams with short release cycles, following agile methodologies that balance efficiency with proper process.

The ideal candidate should have strong experience with communication protocols (HTTP/WebSockets & AMQP), web frameworks, and a solid understanding of database concepts. Experience with microservice architecture and in-memory databases is a plus.
