Associate Developer, Data Engineering

TransUnion, a global information and insights company with over 12,000 associates worldwide, is seeking an Associate Developer, Data Engineering to join their team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work with Big Data technologies in a cloud environment (AWS and GCP).

The position involves developing and implementing data pipelines and applications, working with technologies such as Hadoop, HDFS, Spark, and various programming languages including Java, Scala, and Python. You'll be part of a team that builds scalable solutions for processing and analyzing large datasets, contributing to TransUnion's mission of making trust possible in the marketplace.

As an Associate Developer, you'll work closely with senior engineers, data scientists, and analysts to design data models, implement SQL queries, and maintain data infrastructure. The role requires a strong foundation in Java programming and a passion for Big Data technologies. You'll have the opportunity to grow your skills while working on meaningful projects that impact millions of people globally.

The ideal candidate should have a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field, with 2 years of software development experience. Strong programming skills in Java, Python, and Scala are essential, along with experience in cloud platforms (AWS/GCP) and Big Data technologies. This hybrid position requires a minimum of two days per week in the office, offering a balance between remote and in-person collaboration.
