The Senior Design Engineer at Trexon is a crucial member of the engineering team, responsible for creating detailed design drawings and technical documentation while managing the drafting team's workload and training new members. This role involves leading the creation of general harness and assembly drawings using Autodesk Inventor, AutoCAD, and Vault. Responsibilities For Senior Design Engineer
- Create detailed design drawings and technical documentation
- Manage workload of the drafting team
- Train new team members
- Create general harness and general assembly drawings
- Utilize Autodesk Inventor, AutoCAD, and Vault for 3D models and 2D drawings
- Develop accurate representations of product components, assemblies, systems, and harness layouts
- Manage and allocate drafting team workload
- Provide mentorship and guidance to junior draftsmen
- Lead onboarding and training of new team members
- Generate comprehensive technical documentation, including BOMs and assembly instructions
- Participate in and lead design reviews
- Manage and update design files
- Conduct thorough reviews of design work
- Implement quality control measures
- Prioritize and manage multiple projects concurrently
Requirements For Senior Design Engineer
- Extensive experience and proficiency in Autodesk Inventor, AutoCAD, and Vault
- In-depth knowledge of drafting standards and best practices (e.g., BS8888)
