Mining Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Mining Engineer for a contract full-time position with hybrid work arrangements. This role requires a combination of technical expertise, overseeing mining operations, problem-solving skills, and a strong commitment to safety and sustainability.

Key responsibilities include:

• Developing and optimizing mine plans, including layout of mine workings, access roads, and infrastructure
• Conducting geological surveys and assessments
• Providing technical support to mining operations
• Troubleshooting and resolving technical issues
• Conducting safety audits and risk assessments
• Developing and implementing environmental management plans
• Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams
• Preparing technical reports and documentation

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Mining Engineering, Geological Engineering, or related field
• Minimum 3 years of experience in mining engineering
• Proficiency in mining software (Surpac, MineSched, AutoCAD)
• Strong understanding of mining methods and mineral processing
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Knowledge of health, safety, and environmental regulations

Preferred qualifications include experience in specific types of mining, Professional Engineer (PE) license, project management experience, and familiarity with geotechnical engineering and rock mechanics.
