As a Midweight Backend Engineer, you'll join their expanding Software Engineering team in London on a 6-month contract basis. Responsibilities For Midweight Backend Engineer (6 month contract)
- Write clean, and reusable code following best practices
- Be an advocate for developer experience
- Encourage a blameless culture of continuous improvement
- Lead and influence technical design, architecture and development
- Work with Engineering Managers and Product Managers to define technical scope
- Set up software development frameworks
- Provide technical leadership and mentoring
- Keep up to date on emerging technologies
- Presence in London office 2 days per week
Requirements For Midweight Backend Engineer (6 month contract)
- Minimum of 2+ years experience in software engineering
- Strong desire to continually learn and improve
- Solid understanding of JavaScript and TypeScript fundamentals
- Strong understanding of database systems (MongoDB, MySQL, PostgreSQL)
- Understanding of JavaScript frameworks (React, Angular, Vue.js)
- Familiarity with software architecture principles
