Software Engineer II, Frontend - Grocery Growth

Uber Grocery & Retail is one of the largest growth bets for Uber, bringing on-demand grocery delivery to customers of Uber Eats around the world. You would be joining an exciting engineering team on Uber Grocery, focused on building the best-in-class customer experience. Our team is responsible for building the end-to-end Grocery shopping experience that enables our customers to discover and shop for the merchants and items that they know and love. We're building next-generation platforms and services that improve the scale and reliability and enable us to deliver advanced consumer and shopper experiences.

As a Software Engineer II, Frontend - Grocery Growth, you will collaborate with team members to design, develop, and maintain user interfaces and features for web applications that meet the design, functionality, and complexity needs of end users. You'll write high-quality code, uphold standards for testing and coverage, and align the team on solutions to ambiguous problems. You'll also contribute to engineering cultivation in terms of quality, monitoring, and on-call practices, and find opportunities to improve how our team operates.

Key responsibilities include:

• Designing, developing, and improving web solutions used by thousands of merchants
• Writing high-quality code and upholding standards for testing and coverage
• Aligning the team on solutions to ambiguous problems and analyzing tradeoffs
• Contributing to engineering cultivation practices
• Finding opportunities to improve team operations and promote standard processes
