Responsibilities For Sr. Info Security Engineer

  • Oversee and participate in operating system imaging build, SCCM application packaging and deployments
  • Manage antivirus administration and Active Directory/Group Policy administration
  • Implement cybersecurity countermeasures for systems and applications
  • Participate in monthly patching process, including testing, deployments, and compliance
  • Resolve vulnerabilities for UR and URMC managed servers and workstations
  • Provide escalation support for IT administrators
  • Troubleshoot hardware/software interface and interoperability problems
  • Conduct system/server planning, management and maintenance
  • Verify minimum security requirements for all applications
  • Ensure best practice change and code management

Requirements For Sr. Info Security Engineer

Linux
  • Bachelor's degree and 5 years of related experience
  • Knowledge of computers, server and client operating systems
  • Experience with operating system command-line tools
  • Skills in diagnosing connectivity problems
  • System/server planning, management, and maintenance skills
  • Strong analytical mindset
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Experience in higher education or healthcare IT preferred
  • 2 years in a supervisory capacity preferred
  • Ability to participate in on-call rotation
