Senior Software Engineer

Veracross, a leading provider of SaaS-based School Information Systems, is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join their Finance product team. This role focuses on building and improving their Student Billing and Accounting product, working primarily as a backend engineer with extensive database work. The position offers a unique opportunity to work on an integrated billing, accounting, and school information system that serves 3200+ schools across 60 countries.

The ideal candidate will spend over 60% of their time working with SQL, implementing business logic, and performing query optimization. They'll be responsible for maintaining Ruby on Rails applications, building new features for the Axiom platform, and integrating with third-party systems used by K-12 schools. The role requires strong understanding of accounting concepts and experience with relational databases.

Working remotely, you'll be part of a values-led community of 350 employees spread across the US, UK, and Australia.
