Software Engineer

Versana, an industry-backed data and technology company, is seeking a motivated Full Stack Software Engineer to join their Application Development squad. The company's mission is to transform the syndicated loan market by providing unprecedented transparency into loan level details and portfolio positions through a centralized platform.

The ideal candidate will have 4+ years of full stack development experience, with a strong background in both backend (Java/Spring Boot) and frontend (React/Angular with TypeScript/JavaScript) technologies. You'll be working on creating, enhancing, and maintaining Versana's real-time syndicated loan platform, which presents a streamlined interface for clients to access real-time loan data and positions.

Key responsibilities include developing front and back-end applications, collaborating with Product and UX teams, writing clean and maintainable code, building test automation, optimizing applications for performance and scalability, and helping to establish the technical foundation for the Application Development squad.

The role requires a BS or BA in Computer Science or a related field, along with experience in REST APIs, GraphQL, and both SQL and NoSQL databases. You should be adept at using build and development tools like Git, Maven/Gradle, and Artifactory. Strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills are essential, as is the ability to work in a dynamic, agile environment.

This position offers an opportunity to work with seasoned technology leaders and colleagues from diverse backgrounds, playing a key role in all stages of Versana's data platform development. The salary range for this position is $140,000 - $180,000 per year, with a hybrid work arrangement based in New York, NY.
