Description For Design Engineer

Vetcove, a Y Combinator and venture-backed growth stage company, is revolutionizing the $50B+ animal health industry by providing an innovative eCommerce platform for veterinary practices. With a community of over 17,000 veterinary hospitals across all 50 states, Vetcove enables veterinarians to efficiently compare and purchase supplies from multiple vendors in one unified platform.

As a Design Engineer at Vetcove, you'll play a crucial role at the intersection of design and engineering, working directly with the design team to create exceptional user experiences for both veterinarians and their furry patients. The position requires a strong foundation in React development, expert-level CSS skills, and an unwavering attention to detail. You'll be responsible for transforming Figma designs into modular, reusable components while maintaining the highest standards of polish across desktop and mobile applications.

The role offers a competitive compensation package ranging from $100,000 to $200,000 annually, plus bonus and equity opportunities. Vetcove provides comprehensive benefits including medical, dental, and vision insurance, 401k contributions, and an open vacation policy. As a 100% remote position within the USA, you'll enjoy the flexibility of working from home while staying connected through bi-annual company retreats and monthly team events.

This is an excellent opportunity for a mid-level software engineer with a passion for design and frontend development to join a growing company that's making a significant impact in the veterinary healthcare sector. The ideal candidate will bring at least 3 years of software development experience, strong React expertise, and a portfolio demonstrating their ability to create polished, production-ready applications.
