Responsibilities For Data Engineer - Research and Clinical Data

  • Design, maintain, and optimize data models to create robust, research-ready datasets
  • Build and maintain data pipelines for data extraction, transformation and loading using cloud technologies
  • Develop and maintain data warehouses, databases, and data lakes
  • Implement data validation, cleaning, and monitoring processes
  • Create custom dashboards and visualizations for stakeholders
  • Ensure compliance with industry regulations (HIPAA, GDPR, FDA)
  • Collaborate with researchers and data scientists to support research goals
  • Establish and enforce data governance policies

Requirements For Data Engineer - Research and Clinical Data

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, Biomedical Informatics, or related field
  • 5+ years of experience in data engineering in healthcare or clinical research
  • Expert level proficiency with Python/R

  • Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP)
  • Knowledge of healthcare data standards (FHIR, HL7, CDISC, OMOP)
  • Experience with unstructured data processing and transformation
