Lead Web Engineer

As a Lead Web Engineer at Vivid Seats, you'll be at the forefront of driving high-impact improvements across our platform, maintaining and building new features while integrating multiple internal systems into a cohesive platform.

The role involves mentoring engineers across teams, leading architecture decisions, and refining development processes to ensure scalable, maintainable software. You'll work in a cross-functional Agile environment, collaborating closely with Product Owners, QA Engineers, UX Designers, and other Developers to deliver exceptional software.

Key responsibilities include:

• Guiding the design and implementation of B2C Marketplace systems
• Delivering innovative, scalable solutions
• Mentoring engineers within and beyond your team
• Leading architecture decisions and improving development processes
• Championing engineering standards

The ideal candidate brings:

• Proven experience leading React-based applications (Next.js experience a plus)
• Strong front-end skills (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, TypeScript)
• Back-end experience with Node or Java
• Testing framework proficiency (Jest, RTL)
• Excellent communication and mentorship abilities
