Description For Magento Support Engineer

VML Enterprise Solutions is seeking a Magento Support Engineer to join their team in Porto. This role is critical in the day-to-day operation and management of multiple clients' ecommerce services. As part of a wider Operations team, you'll be responsible for delivery and support across various technology stacks and ecommerce platforms.

The ideal candidate will have strong Magento knowledge, server administration skills, and experience with web technologies. You'll be performing daily checks, resolving incidents, and providing guidance to team members. Key responsibilities include proactive problem-solving, customer communication, and participation in system upgrades and deployments.

We're looking for someone with excellent communication skills, strong analytical abilities, and a customer service orientation. Experience with cloud platforms, DevOps practices, and Magento certifications are a plus.

Responsibilities For Magento Support Engineer

  • Perform daily checks and support tasks within the support team
  • Provide guidance and support to colleagues and junior team members
  • Investigate and resolve incidents, following their lifecycle through to resolution
  • Take a proactive approach to all incidents and problems raised
  • Ensure customers are updated and tickets are managed with correct information
  • Interact with surrounding support teams and escalate to SMEs when needed
  • Address ad-hoc queries and run various reports
  • Monitor data interfaces and scheduled jobs, resolving associated issues
  • Engage in scheduled system upgrades and deployments
  • Mentor junior team members
  • Participate in an on-call rota addressing issues out of hours
