Description For System Integration Engineer- Liquid Handling

Volta Labs is at the forefront of revolutionizing genomics sample preparation through their innovative digital fluidics automation platform. As a System Integration Engineer focusing on Liquid Handling, you'll join a dynamic team that's pushing the boundaries of automation, biology, computing, and robotics.

The role offers a unique opportunity to work on Callisto, their Sample Prep System, where you'll be responsible for developing and optimizing liquid handling parameters crucial for precise reagent handling. You'll collaborate closely with the Application Development team, translating complex requirements into technical solutions while ensuring optimal performance.

This position is perfect for someone who combines technical expertise with hands-on problem-solving skills. You'll need proficiency in Python and Linux, along with a strong understanding of statistics. The ideal candidate should be comfortable in a fast-paced startup environment, possess excellent documentation skills, and thrive in collaborative settings.

Your journey at Volta Labs will progress from initial onboarding and understanding of the platform to taking full ownership of pipettor fluidics tasks within 6 months. By your first year, you'll be contributing to innovative approaches in liquid handling across various genomic applications.

Responsibilities For System Integration Engineer- Liquid Handling

  • Support Automated Pipetting and Optimization for precise reagent handling in Callisto
  • Work closely with Application Development team to translate requirements into technical solutions
  • Use existing datasets to guide and validate pipettor fluidics setups
  • Develop and optimize liquid classes for precise reagent handling
  • Take ownership of assigned pipettor fluidics tasks
  • Engage in refining fluid handling techniques
  • Contribute to the development of innovative approaches for enhancing liquid handling

Requirements For System Integration Engineer- Liquid Handling
