Description For Staff Salesforce Developer

VSP Vision, a leading healthcare company with nearly 70 years of experience in the eye health industry, is seeking a Staff Salesforce Developer to join their team in a fully remote capacity. This senior-level position offers an attractive salary range of $120,750 - $190,050 and comes with comprehensive benefits including bonuses and commissions.

The role requires an experienced professional with 8+ years of IT development experience, including 6 years specifically in Salesforce development. As a Staff Salesforce Developer, you'll be responsible for leading technical design and implementation of complex solutions on the Salesforce platform, managing integrations, and ensuring best practices in development.

This position offers an excellent opportunity for technical leadership, where you'll be expected to mentor junior developers, conduct code reviews, and drive technical excellence across projects. You'll work with cutting-edge technologies including Salesforce's full suite of products, Mulesoft, API integrations, and optionally AWS services.

The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in Salesforce development, including Apex, Visualforce, and various APIs, combined with strong architectural skills and business acumen. Responsibilities For Staff Salesforce Developer

  • Own design, planning, development, testing, implementation, and technology delivery on the Salesforce platform
  • Translate business requirements into well-architected solutions
  • Lead technical design sessions and architect technical solutions
  • Manage technical delivery of custom development, integrations, and data migration
  • Develop custom solutions and interfaces on Salesforce platform
  • Conduct code reviews to ensure code quality
  • Provide technical assistance to Salesforce developers
  • Coach and mentor junior technical resources

Requirements For Staff Salesforce Developer

Java
  • Bachelor's degree in related field or related experience
  • Minimum 8 years of IT development experience
  • 6 years of Salesforce development experience
  • Expert understanding of Salesforce product suite
  • Experience in developing Apex classes, Triggers, Visualforce pages
  • Proficient with declarative development tools
  • Experience with Salesforce SOAP and REST APIs
  • Strong background in enterprise systems development
  • Knowledge of integration architecture and ETL tools
  • Expert knowledge of Mulesoft and API integration
  • Experience with AWS Bedrock, S3 buckets (nice to have)
  • Java Development skills (nice to have)
