Vultron is seeking a Forward Deployed AI Engineer to work on cutting-edge AI solutions for government and defense ecosystems. This role combines hands-on AI leadership with customer-facing responsibilities, where you'll act as a startup CTO within customer engagements. You'll be responsible for architecting and implementing end-to-end AI-powered products, focusing on LLM-based workflows and production-grade systems. The position requires expertise in both AI/ML technologies and full-stack development, with a strong emphasis on practical implementation and deployment. You'll work directly with partners ranging from Fortune 500s to federal agencies, turning real-world problems into scalable AI solutions. The role demands a unique blend of technical expertise in GenAI, systems architecture, and front-end development, along with the ability to lead technical initiatives and contribute to Vultron's core platform development. Responsibilities For Forward Deployed Engineer
- Architect, implement, and deploy LLM-based workflows at production scale
- Work with partners to define AI strategy and rapidly ship impactful solutions
- Write scalable code and own deployed systems—monitor, debug, and iterate in real-world environments
- Contribute field learnings to Vultron's core platform
- Plan and lead technical work across AI, MLOps, data processing, and UI integration
- Build integrations into customer and partner ecosystems
Requirements For Forward Deployed Engineer
- 6+ years of engineering experience with proficiency in Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, or similar languages
- Deep understanding of the GenAI landscape, including experience with LLMs
- Strong foundation in Machine Learning principles
- Experience building real-world applications that process and reason over large, complex datasets
- Proficiency with front-end frameworks such as React
- Strong systems thinking and ability to work across infrastructure, AI, and UI layers
- U.S. Citizen eligible for Secret security clearance
