Description For Entry Level Civil/Environmental Engineer

Wade Trim is seeking an Entry Level Civil/Environmental Engineer to join their Water Team in Dallas. The role involves improving infrastructure and working on various water utility projects. Candidates should have a bachelor's degree in civil or environmental engineering with 0-3 years of experience. Knowledge of AutoCAD 3D, Civil 3D, and/or Revit is preferred. The position offers a flexible hybrid-remote work schedule after 90 days.

Responsibilities include:

  • Technical planning, design, permitting, and construction support for water utility projects
  • Preparing engineering calculations, design reports, and construction plans
  • Assisting with permit submittals and project cost estimates
  • Monitoring task budgets and progress
  • Conducting on-site inspections and attending client meetings

Responsibilities For Entry Level Civil/Environmental Engineer

  • Provide technical planning, design, permitting, and construction support on various water utility projects
  • Prepare engineering calculations and supporting analysis of alternatives
  • Prepare design reports and construction plans using local and state standards
  • Prepare construction plans using AutoCAD 3D, Civil 3D and Revit
  • Review plans and specifications
  • Prepare/assist with permit submittals
  • Prepare preliminary project cost estimates and evaluate quantities
  • Assist with/review scope, budget, and schedule of new project tasks
  • Monitor task budget and progress
  • Document design changes and communications
  • Conduct on-site inspections as needed
  • Prepare project status and other reports
  • Assist in the preparation of proposals
  • Assist Project Managers
  • Attend client, public, project and staff meetings
  • Maintain excellent client relations
  • Maintain a safe working environment

Requirements For Entry Level Civil/Environmental Engineer

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering
  • 0 to 3 years of related experience
  • Knowledge of AutoCAD 3D, Civil 3D and/or Revit (preferred)
  • Excellent writing, organizational and communication skills
  • Self-motivated and able to work well with others
