Responsibilities For Senior, Software Engineer
- Design and implement core features to the Walmart Pharmacy backend services
- Influence and collaborate with engineering leaders, product managers, and design leads
- Understand complex architecture and add enhancements to existing solutions
- Review code developed by other engineers and provide feedback
- Provide guidance and continuous mentorship to junior members
- Communicate effectively with technical and non-technical cross-functional teams
- Troubleshoot business and production issues
- Perform root cause analysis to prevent future issues
Requirements For Senior, Software Engineer
- At least 5 years of experience in software engineering or related area
- Experience using Spring Boot, Java, NoSQL DB, Docker, Kubernetes and Kafka
- Experience in building data communication between back-end systems using Kafka
- Experience with Spring Cloud - Circuit Breakers, Load Balancing
- Experience with public cloud providers such as Azure, AWS, GCP
- Experience with telemetry and observability frameworks including Prometheus, Grafana, and ELK
- Experience with unit and performance testing using Jenkins, Junit, and JMeter
- Understanding of commercial business strategy and goals
- Excellent communication skills and collaborative mindset
