Senior, Software Engineer – Prompt Engineer

Walmart's Cortex Team is seeking a Senior Software Engineer specializing in Prompt Engineering to join their core A.I. conversational platform team. This role sits at the intersection of software engineering and AI, focusing on building and designing the next generation of Natural Language Understanding (NLU) services that power Walmart's vision of delivering world-class personal assistants to customers.

The position involves working on cutting-edge AI applications, including voice and text shopping assistants like Sparky, customer care channels, and multi-modal interaction systems. As a Prompt Engineer, you'll be responsible for designing, evaluating, and evolving capabilities across various LLM architectures including GPT, Llama, and Gemini, while ensuring robust testing and compliance at scale.
