Winnow, a technology company solving the $1 trillion food waste problem, is seeking a Technical Support Engineer - Mandarin Speaker for their Dubai office. This role is crucial in supporting Winnow's artificial intelligence tools deployed across their client base in Asia Pacific. The ideal candidate will be responsible for frontline support, troubleshooting, and ensuring clients can effectively use the Winnow system to reach their food reduction targets.

Key responsibilities include daily performance monitoring, solving technical challenges, proactive site contact, root cause analysis, and collaborating with internal teams globally. The role requires excellent problem-solving skills, proactive customer communication, and the ability to work independently.

The successful candidate will have at least a diploma, excellent English and Mandarin skills, with experience in customer support and ITIL Foundation being ideal. Strong analytical skills, proficiency in data management tools, and database experience with SQL are preferred. Responsibilities For Technical Support Engineer - Mandarin Speaker

  • Act as key customer support person to existing clients with daily site performance monitoring
  • Assess and solve technical challenges faced by clients within specific SLAs
  • Monitor all Winnow systems' performance daily, proactively contacting sites where technical challenges are detected
  • Root cause problems and escalate common issues to the tech team in a structured manner
  • Provide help and answers to customers' technical issues
  • Develop product knowledge documentation
  • Assemble metrics for weekly and monthly internal support KPIs
  • Prepare regular sites' reports and performance analysis
  • Collaborate closely with internal teams in different regions
  • Take initiatives to improve internal process and procedure
  • Manage material stock levels and the assembly and shipping of the system for clients
  • Evaluate system problems and recommend enhancements

Requirements For Technical Support Engineer - Mandarin Speaker

  • At least diploma educated
  • Excellent verbal and written English language skills
  • Advanced business level in both English and Chinese (Cantonese or Japanese speaking is a bonus)
  • Experience in customer support (ideal)
  • ITIL Foundation (ideal)
  • Knowledge of operating systems and relevant hardware or software
  • Ability to quickly understand complex or technical concepts
  • Strong analytic skills; comfortable using data management tools such as Excel
  • Database experience with SQL (preferred)
  • Experience using Google applications to coordinate with colleagues
  • Excellent attention to detail and meticulous eye for identifying inconsistencies or inaccuracies in data
  • Ability to self-organize, including effective project management and scheduling
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Willingness to learn and take initiative
