Senior Software Engineer

Wolters Kluwer, a global leader in professional information services, is seeking a Senior Software Engineer for their office in Lucca, Italy. This role is part of their core software engineering department, where teams work collaboratively to develop products for major industries including banking, insurance, automotive, and food and beverage sectors.

The position offers a hybrid working model with 3 days remote and 2 days in office, situated in a modern workspace within a converted historic coffee factory. The engineering department follows Agile methodologies, specifically Scrum, with teams typically consisting of 5-6 software engineers and a QA engineer.

As a Senior Software Engineer, you'll be instrumental in the full software development lifecycle, from requirements definition to implementation. The role requires expertise in Java, Angular, and cloud-native technologies (AWS, Azure). You'll contribute to architecture decisions, mentor junior developers, and drive best practices in software development.

The ideal candidate brings 7+ years of full-stack development experience, strong knowledge of Java/Spring Framework, and expertise in frontend technologies like Angular. Understanding of cloud platforms, microservices architecture, and DevOps practices is highly valued. The position requires fluency in Italian and proficient English skills.
