Description For Software Engineer

Wolters Kluwer, a leading global technology company with revenues of €5.6 billion and over 21,400 employees worldwide, is seeking a Software Engineer for their office in Lucca, Italy. This role requires 4 years of full-stack development experience and offers an exciting opportunity to work with modern technologies including Java, Angular, and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure).

The position is part of their core software engineering department in Lucca, where teams collaborate closely to develop products for major industries including banking, insurance, automotive, and food and beverage. Working in a Scrum team of 5-6 software engineers and a QA engineer, you'll be involved in all aspects of the software development lifecycle, from estimation to integration.

The ideal candidate should have a strong background in Java or C#, with experience in frontend technologies like TypeScript and Angular 2+. Knowledge of cloud technologies, DevOps practices, and modern development tools is highly valued. The role requires both Italian and English language skills.

Responsibilities For Software Engineer

  • Collaborate with the team to develop, maintain, enhance, and extend features of the product
  • Triage, troubleshoot, and resolve product software issues working with Customer Support and other teams
  • Contribute to recognize patterns of issues and potential root causes
  • Collaborate in examining operational activities and technology debt scenarios
  • Contribute to push for approaches that drive quality and productivity

Requirements For Software Engineer

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent field
  • 4 years of experience in a full stack role
  • Experience with Java or C# and application development frameworks (such as Spring)
  • Good experience with frontend technologies like JavaScript, TypeScript, Angular 2+
  • Knowledge of test practices and automation
  • Knowledge of Design Patterns, SOLID and Clean Code Principles
  • Fluency in Italian and good knowledge of English
