Responsibilities For Build and Release Engineer
- Work with global engineering teams to support and enhance company-wide developer tooling and build/deployment systems
- Collaborate with teams to improve developer build and deployment experience
- Own and ensure reliability of build and release pipelines
- Assist with package and release software
- Troubleshoot issues for Python, C++, and Java codebases
- Develop documentation and build tools
- Create solutions to increase stability and scalability of SDLC processes
Requirements For Build and Release Engineer
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Good analytical skills and problem-solving abilities
- Experience with build systems, software packaging and package managers
- Experience with software build automation systems (Nix experience is a plus)
- Proficiency in Linux
- Proficiency in Python
- Experience debugging build systems (Make, CMake, Bazel)
- Proficiency with Git and CI/CD pipelines
