OTT Live Video Engineer, YouTube

YouTube is seeking an OTT Live Video Engineer to join their team and play a crucial role in building the next generation of YouTube's OTT ingestion infrastructure. This position sits at the intersection of streaming technology and content delivery, requiring expertise in video streaming systems design and technical infrastructure.

The role involves working cross-functionally with various technical and business teams at YouTube, focusing on all aspects of over-the-top (OTT) content ingestion and processing. You'll be responsible for supporting and enhancing YouTube's streaming platform, working with both internal engineering teams and external partners to ensure seamless content delivery.

As an OTT Live Video Engineer, you'll be involved in critical tasks such as automating processes, developing tooling strategies, and building software for content ingestion and processing. The position requires a strong technical background with at least 5 years of experience in technical video systems and demonstrated expertise in troubleshooting and project management.

The ideal candidate will have experience with streaming service or broadcast media digital distribution, along with knowledge of video streaming back-end platforms, including video transport, processing, CDN, and client ABR playback. You'll be working in a dynamic environment where you'll have the opportunity to influence the future of YouTube's streaming infrastructure while collaborating with talented engineers and content partners.

YouTube offers a competitive compensation package, including a base salary range of $122,000-$174,000, plus bonus, equity, and comprehensive benefits.
