What AI or ML courses help in the career of Database Administrator? Since AI is taking over the world, I would like to learn what helps my career growth
I'm not a big believer in taking courses without having a clear goal in mind. Even though AI is so new, there's already an infinite amount of ways it's being applied and general resources around it.
I Googled "AI applications for database administrators", and the first article mentioned a lot of things it can help with. As for whether it's genuinely useful for any of them, the jury's out.
I think there's 2 things you can do:
When it comes to tech, there's an endless deluge of stuff you can learn. I think the best engineers are able to tactically select the 5% of that deluge which is genuinely useful for them while ignoring the rest. Aimlessly learning for the sake of learning is just an easy way to waste time in this industry.
