Sorry for the long post, thanks in advance.
The title says it all, I wanted to know from the community who are working at meta especially who joined recently if working at Meta is as stressful as quoted in Blind.
I don't read Blind, but they're probably not too far off. A ton of my mentees are still there, and they see new engineers get churned and burned very fast as they can't keep up with the culture. One of my mentees had their organization put a hard ban on external E6 hires as they kept getting PIPed/fired in their first year.
Which org/team at Seattle/Bellevue have good scope for growth and learning and are relatively more manageable in terms of workload.
Like at any Big Tech company, this depends entirely on your manager/director chain, not the org itself.
By the way I'm still in team matching phase and have heard that normally it takes 3 months to team match or out of process. Is that true?
Congrats on making it to team matching! Team matching doesn't take 3 months normally unless you are very picky. But I'm unsure what headcount looks like in Seattle/Bellevue. Here's a good thread about team matching in general: "How to navigate team match interviews?"
Is it possible to take internal transfer to a different country for e.g. to India from US within 3-4 months of joining?
Hard impossible. I think Meta only recently started hiring in India, so the engineering footprint there is very, very small.
