Hello everyone!
I want to put together a study group for any of us currently working through the preparation for tech interviews. The goal would be to provide some structure based on Alex's Interview Style Preparation. The goal would not just be to become an engineer who can pass FAANG level interviews and receive an offer, but to integrate the preparation with becoming a better engineer.
In my experience with grinding interview prep over the past two jobs, prepping correctly has a direct correlation with improving as an engineer. Yes, in my opinion, that even extends to grinding DSA.
So, if your goal is to get your dream job and improve as an engineer, like me, then let's team up! Just comment below and we'll figure out with Taro how to best communicate and set this up. All levels welcome.
If you could comment your goals in this process, what dream job archetype you're targeting, and a little about you that would be great!
I'm an engineer who spent the first decade of his career never feeling good enough to pursue his technical dreams. So much so that I kept switching roles from software engineering to non-software jobs. This put me far behind in my engineering skills for the amount of time I had been in the industry.
I've spent the last three years in the startup world, having come from a large software fintech organization. In two different several month bouts, I've improved my DSA and System Design interviewing and can feel that one more bout will allow me accomplish my goal. Speaking of which, my goal is to master DSA, practical coding questions, and system design at the Big Tech level and receive an offer (then I'll be good enough... right... right?).

love the initiative! In addition to this post, I'd also recommend posting in #job-searchers-accountability-group in the Taro Premium Slack where you may get more visibility + comments :)
some folks also run events for interview prep here, e.g. this system design one on May 16.
