Nvidia interview after accepting Meta offer

It's a bit urgent, so please reply asap. I got an interview call from Nvidia, but I already accepted a Meta offer 1 week back. Now, should I still interview with Nvidia (I don't have time to prep, so will probably not do well), and consider it as a mock? Or just tell them no straight away? If I do take the interview, at what stage should I tell them that I accepted something else? Thanks

    Two questions:

    • Do you have evidence to believe the Nvidia offer would be substantially better than Meta, either in terms of compensation, learning, or people?
      • If no, I would not continue with the Nvidia interview.
    • Are you confident you'll want to interview/work at Nvidia within a year?
      • If yes, I would not continue with the Nvidia interview.

In a vacuum, I'd turn down the Nvidia interview since you presumably already have a great offer at Meta. Also, by holding off on the Nvidia interview, you can come back to them 6-9 months from now if things are not going well at Meta.

Remember, it's not that hard to delay an interview for a larger company.

Thanks a lot, Rahul. What would you recommend sharing with the recruiter? That I already accepted an offer somewhere (should I mention the company), and would like to be in touch for future opportunities?

I would keep it vague. You're not in a negotiation but this concept still applies: Don't Overshare (Level, Passion, Timeline). I'd say something like:

Nvidia seems like an incredible place to work and I apprecate your time over the past few weeks. I ended up taking another job offer that I'm excited about, but I'd love to keep in touch for future opportunities.
