Pros: Great place to work. Management is eager for feedback and works at continuously improving based on the feedback. Fabulous culture with everyone eager to help out to ensure you succeed.

Pros: Clio's engineering organization is mature, competent, and transparent. A top-tier Ruby shop and a great place to learn. I absolutely recommend Clio as a place to work for engineers.

Cons: Lawyaw, one of Clio's recent acquisitions, is a disaster. Non-existent technical direction, ridiculous big bets destined for failure, egregiously toxic culture. No engineer has any chance to succeed here. Stay away until Clio steps in and does the necessary restructuring.

Pros: Clio now has a $1B market cap, so maybe they can actually start paying market salaries.

Cons: Departments must have a firing quota, because Clio sure loves firing people. Nobody is safe, even if you're hardworking and good at your job. Surprised to see reviews here saying that the culture is great. Those reviewers may never have had the chance to work at a company where you're treated like a human being, so maybe in a way they're right. It's pretty toxic. Basically, get ready to be gaslit by your own manager and get fired at any moment. This is exactly the kind of company that gets to $1B market cap on the backs of a great development staff that they mistreat and underpay.
