After going through interviews over the course of three months and more than 13 hours of interviews with over 12 people, I was declined for a job offer.
This was fine, but the entire process was very long and too thorough. It included eight hours in person with nine separate interviews on one day, three phone interviews, and a final Skype interview. To be put through that ordeal only to not receive a callback for two weeks, during which time I had to remind the recruiter for a result (which I had assumed was negative since I hadn't heard back), was disappointing.
It was a great learning experience, and the people I interviewed with were wonderful. I just wish it had been clearer from the start that I wasn't an ideal candidate, without having to go through three months of staggered interviews.
