Software Development Engineer in Test (K8)

Acquia, a leading open source digital experience company headquartered in Boston, is seeking a Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) to join their quality engineering team. The role involves working in an embedded position within agile development teams, where you'll lead testing strategies and automation requirements for iterations and releases. You'll be responsible for developing and maintaining test frameworks for various testing types including smoke, behavioral, stress, and performance testing. The position requires a strong background in quality engineering and programming, with hands-on experience in languages like Ruby, PHP, Java, and Go.

As an SDET at Acquia, you'll be part of a collaborative environment where quality engineers regularly meet to improve testing processes, automation, and best practices. You'll work both independently and as part of a product group, supporting testing infrastructure and providing guidance on quality best practices. The role offers the opportunity to work with cutting-edge technologies including Kubernetes, containers, and various cloud platforms.

The ideal candidate should have 3-5 years of experience in QA automation and programming, strong knowledge of backend API automation, and expertise in testing concepts and database fundamentals.
