Software Engineer, Pricing & Availability

As a Software Engineer in Pricing and Availability, you'll join a team focused on building efficient, reusable backend components for pricing and availability features. These features are crucial to the guest booking flow, requiring low latency and high QPS. The team emphasizes quality, reliability, and simplifying complex pricing and availability systems.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Building efficient, reliable, and scalable backend solutions for pricing and availability flows
• Providing input on team roadmap and technical direction
• Fostering a supportive team culture that values feedback, technical quality, and enjoyment
• Collaborating with various internal teams across Airbnb

The ideal candidate will have:

• 2+ years of relevant software development experience in a fast-paced tech environment
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work well within and across teams
• Expertise in backend systems within large-scale service-oriented architectures
• Passion for efficiency, availability, system quality, and user experience
• Strong programming skills in Scala, Python, Java, C++, or equivalent languages
