Staff Software Engineer, Guest & Host - Pricing Guidance Team

Airbnb, a pioneering force in the travel industry since 2007, is seeking a Staff Software Engineer to join their Pricing Guidance Team within the Guest & Host division. The position sits within the Pricing team, which is dedicated to empowering Airbnb's vast network of hosts with sophisticated tools and education to implement adaptive pricing strategies. As a Staff Engineer, you'll be at the forefront of developing next-generation solutions that directly impact millions of hosts worldwide, working in close collaboration with Data Science, Modeling, Design, and Product teams.

Your day-to-day responsibilities will span both technical leadership and hands-on development. You'll be expected to drive technical strategy, prototype new solutions, and work closely with cross-functional partners to deliver high-impact features. The role requires not just technical expertise, but also the ability to mentor junior engineers and influence product direction through close collaboration with designers and product managers.

The ideal candidate brings 10+ years of industry experience, with a proven track record of leading teams and delivering user-facing products. You'll need excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively across teams, as you'll be responsible for improving APIs, architecture, and establishing best practices in product development.

This remote position offers a competitive compensation package ranging from $204,000 to $255,000 USD, plus benefits including equity, bonus potential, and Employee Travel Credits. While remote, you must reside in a state where Airbnb has a registered entity, and occasional travel to Airbnb offices or offsites may be required.
