Description For ADC Engineer, Keya

The Keya team at Amazon Web Services (AWS) is seeking an ADC Engineer to support AWS User Experience Products and Platforms (UXP2), Documentation and SDKs. This role offers exposure to most AWS services and technologies, working in a fast-paced environment supporting US Government services. As a true DevOps position, you'll be responsible for both development and operations, working on implementing real solutions for complex systems at massive scale.

The role combines system administration, development, and operational responsibilities, requiring expertise in Linux systems and various administrative tools. You'll work closely with service teams to build and manage large-scale services, perform deployments, and ensure service reliability. The position involves monitoring system health, developing tools, and maintaining service SLAs while also mentoring team members and leading small projects.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone passionate about both development and operations, with a strong desire to understand and work with complex systems. The position requires an active TS/SCI security clearance and offers locations in Arlington, VA, Herndon, VA, or Columbia, MD.

Responsibilities For ADC Engineer, Keya

  • Work with other engineers and service teams to build and manage massively scaled services
  • Perform code builds, deployments and read complex service code
  • Track service health and resolve customer issues
  • Refine operational process and procedures
  • Participate in team planning and lead small projects
  • Mentor junior team members
  • Develop simple tools and scripts
  • Monitor metrics and dashboards to maintain service SLAs

Requirements For ADC Engineer, Keya

Linux
  • Associate's degree or relevant certifications (Cloud+, GICSP, GSEC, or SSCP)
  • 3+ years of systems administration experience
  • 3+ years experience with cloud computing, DevOps, or software development
  • 3+ years of experience with at least one scripting or programming language
  • Current, active US Government Security Clearance of Top Secret or above
  • Solid understanding of Linux operating systems
  • Experience with Linux tools and commands
  • Knowledge of system monitoring tools
  • Understanding of DNS and related tools
