Amazon Web Services (AWS) is seeking a talented Dedicated Cloud Engineer III to join their specialized team working with the U.S. Intelligence Community. This role focuses on implementing innovative cloud computing solutions and operating one of the world's largest cloud infrastructures. The position requires expertise in Operations, Networking, and Systems Engineering, with a focus on expanding Builder Tools to dedicated regions.

The role involves working in a fast-paced environment where you'll be responsible for implementing and operating complex distributed systems, diagnosing platform issues, and creating automation solutions. You'll work directly with government agencies to implement cloud computing solutions while maintaining the highest security standards. The position requires an active TS/SCI security clearance with polygraph.

As a Dedicated Cloud Engineer, you'll be part of AWS's Utility Computing (UC) organization, supporting critical services like Amazon S3 and EC2, while focusing on specialized security solutions for government customers. You'll work alongside top industry experts, contributing to the development and management of Compute, Database, Storage, IoT, Platform, and Productivity Apps services.

Linux
  • Associate's degree or above, or Cloud+ or GICSP or GSEC or SSCP certification
  • 8+ years of Linux experience
  • 8+ years of systems engineering experience
  • 8+ years of systems management/administration automation experience
  • 5+ years of Agile methods and processes experience
  • Current, active US Government Security Clearance of TS/SCI with Polygraph
