Description For Amazon Dedicated Cloud Engineer, Region Reliability Engineering & Automation

Amazon Web Services (AWS) is seeking talented AWS Dedicated Cloud Engineers to join their Region Reliability Engineering & Automation (RRE&A) team. This role combines cloud infrastructure management, reliability engineering, and automation at massive scale. The position requires expertise in Development, Operations, Networking, and Systems Engineering, along with an understanding of Agile and DevOps principles.

The role involves working with cutting-edge technologies like Amazon Bedrock to reimagine reliability engineering, ensuring the seamless operation of AWS's dedicated cloud regions. Engineers will be responsible for developing innovative solutions to reduce manual intervention, enhance regional reliability, and conduct deep system analysis.

This is a unique opportunity to work within AWS's Utility Computing (UC) organization, supporting critical services like Amazon S3 and EC2, while focusing on specialized security solutions for government customers. The position requires an active TS/SCI security clearance with polygraph and involves partnership with U.S. Intelligence and Defense agencies.

  • 5+ years of systems administration experience (Linux/Windows or Networking)
  • 3+ years experience with cloud computing, DevOps, site reliability engineering, or software development experience
  • 5+ years of experience using debugging and systems analysis skills

  • 3+ years of experience with the Linux command line interface
  • Current, active US Government Security Clearance of TS/SCI with Polygraph
